Apr-08-10  luzhin: 30...Qc6 looks survivable until you see 31.Qg8+ Bf8 32.Rd6! -- bone-crunching play by Ivanchuk.

tamar: Grischuk's play looks shell-shocked with his woozy King staggering toward the queenside with 20...Ke8 and 25...Kd8.

He may have missed that 20...Nxe5 loses the queen to 21 Bb6!

After that Ivanchuk found one inspired move after another.

Apr-08-10  Sularus: The finish:

If 30. ... Kxe6, 31. Rd6+ wins the queen.

If 30. ... Ke8, 31. RxB+, KxR, 32. Qf8+ and mate.

Apr-09-10  Albertan: I have analyzed this game in great detail and posted the analysis to the first page of my blog at http://albertan1956.blogspot.com/ using the program ChessViewer Deluxe. I allowed the World's strongest chess program, Deep Rybka 3, to analyze the game for one hour in analysis mode, and I have added my own comments using Chessbase Megadatabase 2010 and my chess resources. I hope those of you who enjoy the Sicilian Najdorf Poisoned pawn variation drop by my blog and play through the analysis. This is game number 43 in the Chessviewer Deluxe game index.
