Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-19-11  adbat: Beautiful game. Excellent and precise combination of white from move 13.
Jul-07-14  ljfyffe: Quebec City 1884 G.C. Champion - James Narraway 1e4 e5 2Nf3 Nc6 3a3 e6 4Bc4 Be7 50-0 d5 6exd5 exd5 7Ba2 Nf6 8d3 b6 9Bg5 0-0 10Nbd2 Be6 11c3 d4 12Bxe6 fxe6 13Qb3 Nd5 14Bxe7 Qxe7 15Rae1 Rad8 16Ne5 Nxe5 17Rxe5 Qf6 18cxd4 cxd4 19Nf3 Kh8 20Rfe1 Nf4 21Qd1 Qg6 22Fg5 Qxd3 23Qxd3 Nxd3 24Rxe6 Nxb2 25Re7 g6 26Rxa7 d3 27Nd2 Rfe8 28g3 Re2 29Nf1 Re1 30Kg2 Rxf1 31Kxf1 d2 0-1.
Jul-31-14  ljfyffe: This and another Narraway game may be accidently repeated elsewhere. Sorry. The memory's not what it used to be. Unless, of course, it comes to making the same mistake over again that I've already made in an actual over-the- board game in a local chess tournament.
Apr-24-16  ljfyffe: The( French) Shaw-Narraway game(Canada 1884)
should be checked to see if it is from the
Cincinnati Commercial Gazette correspondence tourney in which both players participated.
