Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-29-10  tonsillolith: In this exciting game Arkell put up staunch defense, but Rudd finally broke through on the 23rd move.

AylerKupp: How is 23. Kf1 forced? After 23. Qd2, how does black break through? The only weak spot in white's position, the h2 pawn (after ... hxg3), is easily defended.
Jul-29-10  1. h4: Had to be touchmove. No doubt there.

instead of moving away his queen, GM Arkell moved 23.Kf1, maybe a case of thinking so deep..

whiteshark: That can happen to anybody.
Oct-17-10  splatty: Am I going insane, did he really let him take the queen with a pawn?
