Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-05-11  luzhin: Brilliant attack by Vallejo: if 28...Qxd1+ 29.Kh2 Kg7 30.Nf6 wins or if 28...Qxh3 29.Nf6+ Kh8 30.Nxe8 does the trick. Perhaps Black missed all this when playing 26...Be7, but if he had played 26...h5 then 27.Rxh5 gxh5 28.Qf5 is a killer.
Jan-06-11  sofouuk: 27 white to play - they don't come much nicer than that )-;
Jan-06-11  falso contacto: nice novelty. original setup.
Jan-07-11  Eyal: 27.Nxh7!! threatens mate by a knight on f6 and a rook on h7 following both 28.Qxe7! and Qh8+!, so because of the latter 27...Qc5, to defend the bishop, doesn't help. Nor would 27...g5 (clearing the g6 square for the king), because of 28.Qh6 and again Black is mated shortly.
