Jan-20-11  goodevans: This is my favorite game of the B tournament so far.

Spoelman could have resigned earlier. Then again, he could have played one more move. Either would have been more gracious than resigning when he did.

Jan-20-11  goodevans: P.S. <68> white to move and win would make a good Wednesday puzzle.
Jan-20-11  luzhin: Spoelman had just one chance to counterattack: 27...Bxg2! with the idea 28.Kxg2 Qd5+ 29.Kg1 Nf3+ -- after missing that he was remorselessly ground down by McShane.
Feb-02-11  checkmateyourmove: im sure mcshane had two glasses of wine after this game to celebrate:) beauty of a game and ending
