Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-01-11  Sergius64: Surprised black resigned here. Seems like the bishop can stop that pawn long enough for the king to get there. Maybe I'm misreading this position though.
Feb-02-11  shakespeare: maybe with perfect play from white the game is won - he has an edge - but I think black should have tried to hold a draw
Feb-02-11  sevenseaman: Vassily has eked out an unlikely win via a forking move that gained only a pawn.
Feb-02-11  DiWally: May be, Black overlooked the fork in time trouble and he was so shocked, that he resigned. He had a good chance for a draw.
Feb-02-11  Arcturus: I don't know. I think the issue for black isn't holding the a file pawn but doing it without the king being forced to the queenside. And once that happens white plays h5 and blacks kingside collapses.
Apr-02-11  jullios paras: white king will be taken the black pawns at the end game. great!!
