Maybe Xu Tong failed to arrive on time.I remember this happening to Yifan Hou in C Liang vs Yifan Hou, 2009.

Really? Forfeit wins rarely happen in STRONG field tournaments. =)

How about the two forfeited championship games (that I know of)

Fischer vs Spassky, 1972

It may be rare,but they do happen.
