Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-12-11  vigipirate: Some explanations required...I do not fully understand the resignation or find the black combination...

If white plays QxF5 now, what happens? I see different exchanges, and a final R+K + 4 pawns against B + K + 6 pawns, with a bad king aisle for white, but it does not seem over. Am I missing something?

johnlspouge: I thought resignation premature, also. Toga evaluates the final position at 0.4 P for _White_. Maybe White had a date.

Nahh, he's a chessplayer. It must have been something else.

Apr-12-11  Nilsson: Mr.Houdini agree. 0.8 up for white.
What´s going on Erlandsen 2083, Pons
Apr-12-11  vigipirate: Maybe he was impressed by Vallejo-Pons. He might have imagined that there was something else that he had not seen.
Apr-12-11  paavoh: Or he lost by overstepping the time?
Apr-14-11  Nilsson: According to Twic (Mark Twitter) this is totally wrong. Pons played Qxf3 and then Rxd4. And winning after more than 50 moves!
Apr-14-11  Nilsson: Sorry, I mean of course Mark Chrowter.
(53 moves)
