Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-06-11  erasmus: Does anybody have some interesting background information about this game? Rubinstein missed two tactical blows in this game and was mopped up pretty convinvingly.

Was Tholfsen (already) a well known player at the time?

Feb-23-12  thegoldenband: Many thanks to whomever uploaded this; I'd requested it on Tholfsen's page a while back. I wasn't expecting it to be such a total crush, though -- wow, did Rubinstein get creamed!
May-01-12  Karpova: Rubinstein gave a 24-board Simul scoring +20 =2 -2.

Wins: Tholfsen (would represent the USA at the Olympiad at The Hague later that year), G. A. Hennell

Draws: Milton Hanauer, Rudolf Smirka

Among the losers were Reinfeld, Santasiere and Bigelow.
