May-09-11  Yodaman: What exactly are the times for rapid games?

Richard Taylor: I think they are usually 25 5 That is 25 minutes each with 5 second increments. Or maybe 25 30. 25 30 could actually almost be like a "standard game.
May-10-11  Gryz: The rules for this tournament are given here: http://www.fide.com/FIDE/handbook/r...

The rapid-games give 25 minutes at the start. 10 seconds increment per move.

The Blitz games give 5 minutes at the start. 3 seconds increment per move.

May-12-11  Rob Morrison: I wouldn't be surprised if this goes on to be seen as one of the great rook endings of all time. Whether or not it will turn out that the endgame play was sound, I have no idea. But that endgame is certainly worthy of long and careful study.
May-12-11  Rob Morrison: Okay, maybe not all time. Depends on how accurate the play was from when it went into the ending. But it still strikes me as a fine example of an ending that involves quite a range of rook ending themes.
May-14-11  jmcc: I liked the endgame too. Wednesday I showed part of it to the scholastic club I coach.

Someone else liked it too:

May-14-11  jmcc: There aren't many grandmaster games that get this close to the Lucena position. Of course, Black has tempos to spare. I probably would have moved 66... Rd2.
