fredthebear: White uses back-to-back knight sacrifices to open the g- and e-files. Timely rook captures on Black's back rank come in handy w/a threat that maintains the initiative. Black maintains a two-piece lead into the middle game but the White queen has rounded up all but one of Black's pawns.
