Aug-22-11  hcgflynn: 44. Bd5 looks a mistake. Was 44. Bd1 better?

  Sastre: If 44.Bd1, 44...Bd3 45.Ra2 (45.Rd2 Be4+; 45.Rc1 Bb2) Rxc5 is winning for Black.
Aug-22-11  hcgflynn: Indeed, didn't see 44. - Bd3. I'm wondering whether 44. Be4 f5 45. Bd4 Bxd4 46. Rxc8 Bxc8 47. Bxf5 Bxf5 48. exd4 Be4+ 49. Kf2 would be enough for a draw, but probably not.
Aug-22-11  DrMAL: I like black's choice of Grünfeld even if 5...d6 had a famous win in Botvinnik vs Tal, 1960 If white had played 64.Bg5+ instead of 64.Bf6?! the game would likely been a draw (64...Kh5 65.Ba8 Kg4 66.exf5 gxf5 67.Be3). Nice game for Vachier-Lagrave.
