Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-19-13  shakespeare: model game how to smash your opponent in the pirc, if his queenside counterplay comes too late
Oct-03-15  RKnight: <Shakespeare> Either that or it was just a Flueck.
Nov-04-15  Eusebius: Queenside counterplay didn't happen at all. Another 5 to 8 moves required...

al wazir: 34...Qc7 holds out a little longer, but white breaks the pin with 35. Rg3.
Nov-04-15  morfishine: Whale of a game Fluke
Nov-04-15  moi: 36...Bxg4 seems to draw thanks the massive pawn structure on black's queenside.
Nov-04-15  mikrohaus: White very cleverly got the Austrian Attack variation anyway, except w/o any sacrifices. Once White got around to f2-f4, it was essentially over.

6...Qa5 might be in somebody's book, in which case I become a book-burning fan. [Why, in less than 2000 words, is the BQ on a5 at this moment?]

Anyway, this attack is too standard (see the 70 billion similar Sicilian Dragon games won by White) to warrant much comment, except to say it was carried out with super-GM precision. Therefore, the technique is worth studying.

Nov-04-15  Mating Net: I agree with <moi> Black has to try 36...Bxg4. What else is that Bishop going to do?

37.Nh6+ is not a hard move to find after being prompted by 36...h5.

Nov-04-15  varishnakov: peertz up
Nov-04-15  psmith: Caruana had two quicker wins (found by whatever free software I have running -- don't actually remember what it is...)

31. Rf4 threatening too many Knight checks...

32. Rxe8 Rxe8 33. Qf4 again with no defense.

Domdaniel: Do some people still say 'Perk'?
As <varishnakov> says, 'peertz' is better.
Nov-04-15  Twocolors: <psmith> Is the p still silent in Psmith? And if it is, can you actually tell if people do or don't pronounce it?
Nov-04-15  Ferro: La tela de araƱa
Nov-04-15  Ferro: Spider web
Nov-05-15  Moszkowski012273: Not that impressed with whites endgame here.....
