Aug-02-13  GumboGambit: Rare to see a Queen sacrifice so early. Yet it pays off.

Phony Benoni: An unusual problem with the g4 and Rg1 attack.

It looked like Black was baiting White with those pawn moves. "C'mon, c'mon, you know you want to play the Bxf7+ combo!" White just couldn't take it any more. Or maybe she missed that she couldn't win the knight, as 14.Kf1 Bh3+ or 14.Ke2 Nxg1+ 15.Rxg1 Bg4+ cost white the queen.

That would be my guess. Surely White can't have thought that giving up rook, knight and bishop to "win" the queen was a good idea, particularly when those constitute most of her developed pieces and her king is badly placed.

Oct-12-13  kellmano: Cheers for reminding me of Sophie's Choice. Always good to have a depressing start to a Saturday.
Oct-12-13  graven29: Part of the problem is that white is down the a1 rook the entire game, and black has all 4 pieces attacking in the end.

kevin86: Early queen sac? Kevin Spraggett once sacrificed his queen on the FIFTH move. (vs Fred South)
Oct-12-13  Blunderdome: This pun is in poor taste.
Oct-12-13  GumboGambit: With the relatively early Queen sacrifice, my pun sub was Daulyte at the End of the Tunnel. Yes it was Sophie that won, but it was also Daulyte at the end of the table.
Oct-12-13  Moszkowski012273: White probably could of drawn this game with 27.Qf1...
Oct-12-13  TheAmazingOne: Are you retarded, Moxcowich1222543?

Sheldon: Now you see what you’ve done? Because of you, we’re all going to miss Stan Lee.

Leonard: Whoa! What do you mean all?

Sheldon: Well, you’re my friends. You’ll be standing by my side, supporting me, feeding me legal precedents, and if you had the upper body strength, carrying me out on your shoulders when I’m victorious.

Leonard: Yeah, okay. No.

Sheldon: Are you saying that you will not stand beside me as I plead my case?

Leonard: That’s what I’m saying.

Sheldon: Howard?

Howard: Wow. Uh, Stan Lee, or you in court? Uh, if this was Sophie’s Choice it would’ve been a much shorter movie. No.
