This is interesting question. The position is very complicated and tricky but with correct play white should be on the top, for example 23...e5!? 24.Nxc8 exf4 25.Bf1 Nc3 26.Nd6 fxe3 27.fxe3 Bd1 28.Ra8!! Rxa8 29.Qxf7+! Kh8 30.Ne8! Ra7 (what else?) 31.Qxa7 Bh6 32.Qe7 Qxe1 33.Qe5+ Kg8 34.g5 Ne4 35.Nf6+ Nxf6 36.Qe6+ Kf8 37.Qxf6+ Ke8 38.Qe6+ Kd8 39.gxh6 and the dust has settled and white with extra two Pawns is winning. But from practical point it would be a better attempt than the text as the chance to go wrong here for white was far greater than in the game.

  Honza Cervenka: Or maybe a bit simpler for white 23...e5!? 24.Nxc8 exf4 25.Bc4! fxe3 26.fxe3 Nc3 27.Nd6 Bxd4 28.Bxf7+ Kh8 29.Nc4 (diagram) and black's tricks seem to be over.

Well, 29...Ne2+ looks still interesting but 30.Kf2! Bxe3+ 31.Nxe3 Nc3+ 32.Kg1 Bb1 (or if 32...Ne2+, then simply 33.Rxe2 Qxe2 34.Qb2#) 33.Raxb1 or 33.Ng2 solves everything to white's full satisfaction.
