21...Nxe4 removes the f7 defender. instead 21...Qxe4 22.gxf6 g6 23.Qh3 h5

no better is 24...Nxg3 25.Ng6+ Qxg6 26.Bxf6+ Qxf6 27.Qxf6+ Kg8 28.hxg3
