Vitiugov misplayed the opening and was lost by move 17.

Jul-08-12  luzhin: 10.a4! is a very interesting innovation. The plan of Ra3-g3 to exchange off Black's best piece(Rg8) works brilliantly.

Anything to put some life in White's anodyne setup here. But <10...cxd4> looks awfully cooperative, does it not?
