Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-15-12  luzhin: 47.g4!! is very precise. If 47...f4 then White wins mechanically with the plan 48.Bb4,49.Be7,50.g5 and 51.Bf6. Perhaps Black could have lingered longer with 50...Kd7 but then 51.Bh6! Bh8 52.Kg6 e4 53.Kf7 a5 54.Kg8 Ke6 55.Kxh8 Kf7 56.Bf4! a4 57.Bd6! and zugzwang is imminent. Caruana's style reminds me greatly of Karpov.
