Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-05-23  Brenin: The combination 18 Rxf7 Rxf7 19 Bxf7+ Kxf7 20 Qd5+ Kf8 (not Ke8 21 Rf1 with mate by Qg8) 21 Rf1+ Bf6 22 c7 Qe8 (or Qc8) seems clear and convincing, but now I'd prefer 23 Nd6, e.g. 23 ... exd6 24 Rxf6+ Kg7 25 Rxd6, or 23 ... Bxf1 24 Nxe8 Rxe8 25 Kxf1. In the game, 23 ... exf6 24 Nd6 Ke7 25 Nxe8 Rxe8 might have been better than 23 ... Kg7.
Nov-05-23  mel gibson: That was above my pay grade.
I could see that the c pawn could promote and
that sacrifices on f7 looked promising
but I wasn't sure.

A long series of checks, captures, pawn promotion threat. Consider all forcing moves first.

The finish is a Carlos Cozio Mate. Get the Queen in close!

Nov-06-23  AIC: < moronovich: Hope that clarifies> yes, it does. Thank you
