Dec-16-12  vinidivici: Beauty of the chess.

GOTD soon enough,

Dec-16-12  Atking: Yes that's really beautifull.
Dec-16-12  achieve: Yes if you can do this to a Morozevich, there is some potential... Attacking masterpiece, elegant finish too, with Bd4 hehe

Dec-21-12  notyetagm: Game Collection: GIRI'S BEST GAMES

A Giri vs Morozevich, 2012

Sep-06-13  ibrahim aladino: i think giri is daynamically plays like the great kasparov and in two years later would become the best player due to his young age.
Jun-22-15  ChrisWW: Great Player and going to be better
Jul-17-15  offramp: I've always pronounced his name like Jiri. Is it a hard g?
Jul-17-15  Infohunter: <offramp>: Here is the answer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1w...
Jul-17-15  morfishine: Really fun game to go over, made my week
Jul-17-15  Eusebius: Also the old guys like Morphy, Steinitz... would have loved this game.

kevin86: The attack led to a quick mate.
Jul-17-15  Moszkowski012273: 20.Qc2... would of kept black in the game.
Jul-17-15  pericles of athens: Best Giri game I have seen yet, what a stunner. Last night and I was going over Morphy games and today I see this. Fantastic!

Penguincw: Even though it's "only" a rapid game, still a great game to look over.

thegoodanarchist: Wildly entertaining! Worthy of GOTD status.
Jul-17-15  jith1207: I have always wondered about his origin, because both his names Anish and Giri are typical names in India and the countries surrounding. It makes sense to read his Wiki that his father is Nepalese and mother is Russian. So those are the reasons where he got his name and the career!
Jan-19-16  Captain Hindsight: 21...Kd8 cause more grief. Better would have been <21... Rc7 22. Rxc7 Bxc7 23. Bxg7 Ke7>.

Still though, e.g. <24. Qf7+ Kd6 25. Nc3 Qc4 26. Bxh8 Qxe6 27. Qxh7>

Oct-01-17  Jambow: That was worth the price of admission and against Moro no less. Giri should spend a few months playing this dynamic even if it lowers his rating he will be a better player on the other side.
Oct-27-18  Inocencio: Wow! One of the most outstanding games I have ever seen. This is a masterpiece.

MissScarlett: A combination of correctitude and lassitude.
Mar-04-20  stalkerone: Seems Giri is better in his teenage years.
Mar-05-20  oxoginkaput: <Seems Giri is better in his teenage years.>

Damn Right. Good observation, <Stalkerone>

IF your memory is sharp, and an eyesight as focus as an eagle zooming in on his prey - Giri's FIRST TWO CLASSICAL GAMES versus Wesley So were in GIRI's favor. 2 - 0.
The Second one was a spectacular inevitable mate in 3 - that left a bad aftertaste to Wesso.

The rest of their classical games afterwards, it is all yours to dissect, analyze, and engine-feed evaluate 24/7, who cares?

MSteen: Just amazing. Ignores one threat after another and pulls out a stunning win. Just like the great 19th century tacticians.
