May-13-13  luzhin: Hammer had a neater and earlier win with 46.d8=Q+! -- the point is that after 46...Rxd8 47.Rxh7+ wins the Bb7 or if 46...Kxd8 47.Kf3 Nd3 48.Rd1 wins the Nd3. But congratulations anyway!

FSR: What a weird opening: 5.Ne2, 6.Nec3, 7.Na3, and 8.Nc2. What on earth? Lasker, Reinfeld et al. must be turning over in their graves. Lasker: <Do not move any piece twice in the opening, but put it at once on the right square.> http://exeterchessclub.org.uk/conte...
May-13-13  Gilmoy: Right, for example Black's <11..Bb7> was much better.

An Englishman: Good Evening: I wonder if these last two rounds indicate that Mr. Hammer has acclimated to Super-GM chess tournaments.
May-14-13  King Sacrificer: Carlsen win over Karjakin and this one. Good demonstration of how effective a Bishop at b7 can be used and vice versa.
May-14-13  lost in space: The HAMMER is COMING DOWN, DOWN DOWN,

down to the ground

(Motörhead)

May-15-13  whiteshark: <FSR> There's no (legal) way to get a ♘ to c2 in one move. ;)

FSR: <whiteshark> Ah, that must be the explanation.
May-19-13  Mudphudder: How does Wang beat Carlsen and Anand in this tournament, but then lose to Hammer at the same time??
May-19-13  schweigzwang: If the outcomes were accurately predictable, they wouldn't have to play the games!
