May-23-13  Marmot PFL: Or black can try hg3 and Bf2
May-23-13  DcGentle: White has to get the knight to his king, so 41. Nd6 maybe.
May-23-13  chessdgc2: Black also has ...g5-g4 forcing White's f-pawn to move, this would literally decide the game, too, but in the meantime, does White have adequate defense?
May-23-13  talisman: good morning... who's winning and what is white to do here?
May-23-13  DcGentle: <talisman>: Good morning, Black has the advantage, but White seems to hold the draw.
May-23-13  DcGentle: Moving the knight was a good decision by White. We'll see.
May-23-13  chessdgc2: talisman: Good morning to you sir...Black has the initiative no doubt, but I'm not sure any of us know whether White has sufficient defense to hold or not...we'll soon find out!
May-23-13  DcGentle: Grischuk has the better game against Nakamura.
May-23-13  talisman: <DcGentle> thanks................
May-23-13  chessdgc2: DcGentle: It's a bit disheartening to see Naka slip like this...he's just having a bad tournament
May-23-13  Marmot PFL: Playing as much as Nakamura it's hard to be consistently good.
May-23-13  chessdgc2: Topa might want to get a bag of popcorn and join us watching
May-23-13  DcGentle: Topalov first has to survive Kamsky's attack.
May-23-13  Marmot PFL: Naka may draw though as Grischuk's pawns are not the best.
May-23-13  chessdgc2: Hur-rah! Go Naka, Go!
May-23-13  chessdgc2: White has just played 1. g4...should Black try 1...f5?

whiteshark: How to make progress? Is there a zugzwang motif somewhere?
May-23-13  chessdgc2: White is practically in zugzwang, but can Black send the knockout punch?
May-23-13  DcGentle: 43... f5 44. gxf5 g5 45. Nxg5 Bxg5 46. Qxh3 and Black has a bishop for 3 pawns. Looks drawish.
May-23-13  Marmot PFL: Don't see a way for black to improve with so little material left.
May-23-13  DcGentle: Draw agreed.
May-23-13  DcGentle: Caruana seems to win against Ivanchuk, could be interesting.
May-23-13  chessdgc2: Is it over for the day?

  whiteshark: It seems so.
Premium Chessgames Member Grischuk-Nakamura looks like it has some play left.
