  HeMateMe: Black's rooks are pathetic.
Aug-02-13  csmath: 15. Ne4 is a new move, prior to this game white has played 15. h5, and 15. Qf3 and black has won both games.

First error:

16. ... Qxf6?

allowing disconnected e-pawn.

Second error

17. ... e6?

Subtle error. The pawn is no safer on e6 than on e5 but on e5 it would serve the porpose of blocking white bishop while opening e6 square for queen. Black could give that pawn later for some compensation although white is already better.

Yet another opening error:
18. ... Qg6?

effectively allowing rook takes the pawn and breaks on 7th rank. There was still a time for 18. ... e5

Amazingly so the game after 18 moves is already lost for black. This happened to C-K specialist/expert Khenkin.

C-K is very typical in this. Small errors in black defence and the price is the whole game immediately.

Aug-02-13  csmath: Khenkin followed semi-established theory by players like Bartel and Dreev. However after the first new move he made three "subtle" positional errors and immediately got the lost position.

Very original game by Adams and solid execution. Add it to the theory of C-K although I am not sure this will be very popular line.

Aug-03-13  shmu12: why did he resign what happens after kc6?
what is the immediate threat?

  Dionysius1: I think 32 Bf4 would win the e pawn.
Aug-04-13  Emmykarpov: Mickey has really done well, but as far as Kramnik is close by, he wouldnt win the tourney.
