Jan-29-14  MountainMatt: Wow, what a struggle! And what an awesome result for Galmandakh, rated more than 400 points lower than Bologan! I'd be very interested to see analysis from GOOD players (which I'm not) indicating whether a win was missed by either player - I'm guessing it almost certainly was. Nonetheless, congrats to Badrakh Galmandakh!

  alexmagnus: I'm not a good player but there are tablebases :). Black was winning between moves 107 and 119. The closest he got to mate was after 118. Kc7, after which it is mate in 25, starting with 118... Ng3. 118...Rc5 made it a mate in 53 and 119.... Rc3 let the win slip away.
