Aug-06-14  Marmot PFL: Could Karjakin in time trouble maybe miss that 28.cd5 is killed by Qf4? Kramnik was very disappointed that Russia didn't win the match because of this game.

Kramnik disappointed Russia couldn't beat Bulgaria, the team with Topalov? Surprise surprise. ;)

BTW: How much time did Karjakin have to make move 28 (I do know that he spent about 18 minutes on that move though).

Aug-06-14  Tartalacreme: Instead of 27. Rd3, white can play the simple 27. Bxd5 not fearing Rxd5 28.cxd5 Qf4 29.Rxe5 and white is in no danger

whiteshark: <20.c5!> followed by Qc4 and a4/b5 was recommended almost instantly by the commentators /guest Vladimir Kramnik at : starting at 2m08s (to 4.15s)
Oct-20-14  ALKINAN: 13...♗f4 ? white should play 14 ♕a3

and if black takes on g5 then follows 15 ♘d6+ ♔d8 (but not 15♔e7 or ♔f8 black loses his ♕ after 16 ♘b5+)

and 16 ♘xf7 wins a pawn and regains the piece with a wining position.

Oct-20-14  ALKINAN: after 26...ed the best move is 27 ♕e2!! a very difficult move to find -serguey makartchev
