Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-08-14  Karpova: <Dr. Th.> (I guess Thanhofer) annotated the game in accordance to Wagner's information.

15...b4 shall prepare <...e5>.

On 20.f4, the annotator notes that the Black plan appeared stronger than it was. Now that the ♙s are fixed, White can initiate a dangerous attack on the kingside.

The annotator suggests <32...Rc2 33.Bxb4 Rxb2 34.Rxa5 Rxa5 35.Bxa5 Rxb3>.

The annotator gives as also winning <38...Rg7 39.Be1 Rfg8 40.Bh4 Be7 41.Rxg7 Rxg7 42.Qxf7 Rxf7 43.Rc1 Kg7 44.Bg3>.

44.Qh4<!> also worth a look is 44.Qh6.

47.Kf2<!> to avoid the threat <...Qxg4+> followed by <...Rxg6>.

48...f5<?> The annotator considers the Black position to be lost even without this mistake.
