  FSR: This game was the first known with what came to be called the "Thornton castling trap." That motif was later seen in Dean Arond vs R Murphy, 2015 and the games I have collected in the comments to that game.

We proposed that term because the oldest known specimen is G.H. Thornton v Boultbee (played in Bufflo), published on page 31 of the 15 November 1884 Brooklyn Chess Chronicle.
