Mating Net: When Knights defend each other in the middle game, there is often a way to exploit this tactically. In this case a pinned, defending Knight was punished.
Jul-26-15  Tempo Gambit: The knight on e7 was being eyed down by the b4 bishop for far too long, it wasn't pinned but black just left it there under pressure ignoring the threat. Then when white made the Bh3 move it was a powerful pin of the knight to, not only the queen, but the rook as well. At that point Black was bound to lose something. In this case it was enough for a resignation. Creative tactical play by White. Matlakov seemed to do quite well in this tournament.
