fispok: The Q-side was clearly not the side to be seeking action on in this game.

Pedro Fernandez: The impressive <fispok> is Caruana telescopic vision when he sacrificed the queen's rook pawn. What a intuition!

fispok: I mean, the knight was completely misplaced, and the tempo could have been used elsewhere. For instance, being forced to return the knight with 23. Nb3 to prevent a passed d pawn. And, if the kt had been on d2, the f3 pawn would have been more defensible. A very sensible sacrifice of a meaningless q side pawn.
