Resignation may be slightly premature, but to avoid losing a second pawn in the near future, it looks like Black would have to go into a pretty grim pawn-down endgame.

For example, 22...Qxe5 23. Rxe5 Re8 24. Bb5 Bd7 25. Rxe8+ Bxe8 26. Bxe8 Nxe8 27. Nb3 Rb5 28. a4 Rb4 29. Rxd5 Rxa4 30. Rd8 Kf8 31. Rb8.
