Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-19-16  Ayaend: And? That's all ? I want to see more white have ( for me) a little advance isn't it ?
Aug-19-16  Fish55: <Ayaend> White entered this game a point ahead of Artemiev, his closest competitor. This draw makes Xiong the heavy favorite to win the tournament.
Aug-19-16  kingfu: YES! 2 rounds to go. Jeffrey needs to play for a draw in his next game. He has black against Bersamina in Round 12. Bersamina is an 1.e4 kind of guy. It will be interesting to see what Xiong plays. Sicilian? Scandinavian?

Nasuta and Artemiev will have to play for wins in Round 12.

Here is the good news for Xiong: Nasuta and Artemiev are playing each other in Round 12! Best thing for Xiong is a draw.

Aug-20-16  Ayaend: <Fish55> yes I see that ok well a draw is good for Xiong but do you think he can push on the right side and win the endgame?
Aug-27-16  patzer2: With an active Knight against a non-so-active Bishop, forcing the draw in this game was not easy for White.

The strong best-move 40. f4! = solves White's problems and gives him a fully level game, or at least a game level enough to convince Black to accept the draw.
