kbob: Does anyone know the story on Carlsen's 25. ... Nd3???

Gilmoy: His Q is close to trapped, so it's probably a clearance sac for Qf6. It does split White's Rs, allowing <26..Re7> without getting challenged by R(d)e1.

Anyways, Carlsen lost control of the board about 10 moves ago. <11..d5 13..Qxd5> looks risky vs. a patient player with the BB pair, and then <17..c5 18.Nf5 Bxf5> feels too knee-jerk to win at any level. White patiently offered him bait (including poisoned b2), and he took every one of them.
