Apr-04-17  luzhin: Staggering upset: 2211 player beats 2695! But 17...Bxh4 was ludicrously risky-- and after the obvious sac Black is just lost.
Apr-07-17  Stanley Yee: <luzhin> Absolutely agree. 17... Nc6 18. g5 Bxd4 19. Bxd4 h5 seems to be the best attempt to stop the pawn roller, but Black is still in trouble. And it is also admitting that moving the knight from c6 was wrong. Maybe 18... Ng6 19. Nf5 gxh6 but White seems to be able to win back the piece with ease, as in the game. Korobov is a good player. I've played through many of his games. Strange.
Apr-10-17  protonchess: What was wrong with 11. .. Bh4+ ? Surely in this position (unlike, say, the King Gambit) temporarily displacing the Bishop was a good price to pay for preventing White from castling?
Apr-10-17  protonchess: Oops, I mean 12. .. Bh4+, of course.
