tamar: What is the worst that could happen if you play g4 against Mamedyarov and try to trap his Queen?

Najer found out.

May-09-17  Abdooss: Hmmm... this Anti-Grunfueld variation is not working for White...
May-09-17  SpiritedReposte: That's a frightening initiative. Blacks pieces come falling like a hailstorm.

AylerKupp: Well, White's anti-Grunfeld worked, sort of. It resulted in a transposition to a Modern Benoni variation that is not favorable for White. I guess we'll have to wait and see what kind of anti-Benoni variation Najer comes up with next.

whiteshark: <11.g4> to examine is worth
May-10-17  Strelets: Shak plays like the ghost of Alekhine in this one. What a game!
May-13-17  Everett: Sometimes my gut just tells me that castling K-side for white does not work in these systems.

  FSR: Electric Shak.

An Englishman: Good Evening: The attack over the entire board is indeed an Alekhine hallmark--even the Rb8 got into the King side attack.
Nov-25-17  Ironmanth: Murderous attack!
Nov-25-17  morfishine: Exciting game well worth being a "GOTD", but obviously, there are numerous improvements for White for this opening

Nov-25-17  ardeejo: 24..Rh1 could have changed picture
Nov-25-17  Saniyat24: Castling on the king side was an unnecessary risk by White at that moment...!
Nov-25-17  Saniyat24: Can White play 24.Rh1 instead of 24.Bf3?
Nov-25-17  ColeTrane: "Shak" is an heirloom clone of cannabis strain known for its high CBD content, the terpene prescribed for seizures and PTSD
Nov-25-17  The Kings Domain: Impressive attacking skill displayed by Mamedyarov.
