ajk68: 40...Rd7?? Not recognizing the threat of the exchange.

Earlier, 35. b5?? but white did not capitalize fully. The pawn on b4 was a locker keep the half-open file from opening. Black should not have moved it.

Black needed to solve the problem of his dark-square bishop.

Jan-27-18  JPi: <Black needed to solve the problem of his dark-square bishop.> True but not an easy task. At move 30 White is clearly better. Even earlier as N was a bit superior to Bg7 I'm not sure that Black has to refuse the exchange. 20...0-0 will be my choice however in a slightly inferior position yet defendable. White opening treatment has a some valuable insights of the great Nimzowitsch.

Mar-07-18  veerar: 19...0-0-0,seems better.
