keypusher: Great-looking attack, and for MC in this event 1.e4 c5 2.b3 is heavy theory....

Oct-05-18  PJs Studio: Magnus is fearless. This game looked like Tal on steroids, playing a kid...

Ehlvest is no kid.

fredthebear: Remarkable but slightly unsound middlegame sacrificial attack either side of the long diagonal by Carlsen. White gives up material to achieve protection of the passed g7-pawn.

Stockfish says Black was better after 24...Red8 but then blundered with rook captures 25...RxNd6? and 26...Rxa2? That is typical aggressive behavior in a rapid game.

Slick promotion of the g7-pawn for a queen decoy sacrifice to lure the defending rook to the other side of the Black king. Black will have to give up heavy material to prevent checkmate.
