Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-21-18  Marmot PFL: Looks like it's all over now that black has the pawns rolling.
Jul-21-18  ChessHigherCat: He's got Kramink by the giris, here.
Jul-21-18  Boomie: Giri beating Kramnik with black? I must be dreaming. Somebody wake me up!
Jul-21-18  Marmot PFL: The difference from last game is that Giri is a more seasoned pro than Duda and Kramnik doesn't have a queen to complicate things with unlike Nepo.

Sneaky: I like the new Giri photo. Sharp dressed young grandmaster.

FSR: Nice Piano lost again, as usual, breaking Meier's drawing streak. Georg, Georg, Georg of the Jungle, strong as he can be!
Jul-21-18  ChessHigherCat: White to move and resign? or resign and move? That is the question. Whether 'tis nobler to bore us to death or admit defeat with dee feet in dee face or when facing dee feet?

An Englishman: Good Morning: Should we leap to conclusions re: how easy this is for Black? We just saw someone with a two-pawn lead allow a draw.
Jul-21-18  Count Wedgemore: A really poor game by Kramnik, drifting into a worse position, allowing Giri a dangerous queenside pawn majority in the process, which eventually seals the deal for Black.
Jul-21-18  ChessHigherCat: Nc5 + Rc1 and the white knight is toast

<Englishman: Should we jump to conclusions?>

Looks like it.

Jul-21-18  Ulhumbrus: It seems that Kramnik did not manage to hold the hanging pawns. One alternative to 17 Nc3 is 17 Nb1-d2 defending the c4 pawn.

HeMateMe: White's shaky pawn center was never resolved. It's a bad opening if the center pawns can't be safed.
Aug-02-18  centralfiles: <Sneaky: I like the new Giri photo. Sharp dressed young grandmaster. >

Farewell.

Aug-02-18  ChessHigherCat: If <Sneaky> isn't Daniel, I hope he is just giving us a good scare! He was logging in on a daily basis until he disappeared.
