Jan-13-23  Triebe: What if 11.Nb6?

Messiah: What a game! A GM is beaten in a mere 15 moves! This would not have been possible under a time control that makes sense.

<Triebe: What if 11.Nb6?> The variations are interesting, I am working on collecting them. Will post results.

  Messiah: I think 11.Qh5 was a reasonable move with dynamic equality, a possible line is 11...g5 12.Bd3 Nf6 13.Qe2+ Be6 14.Nxb6 cxb6 15.Bg3=.

The immediate 11.Bg3? does not work: 11...Ba7 12.Bd3 Nxg3 13.hxg3 O-O-+.

As for 11.Nxb6?, 11...Qxh4 12.g3 Qf6 13.Qe2 Kd8 14.Bg2 Nc3! 15.bxc3 Re8 16.Qxe8+ Kxe8 17.Nd5 Qe5+ 18.Kf1 Kd8 is pretty insane, with a serious advantage for Black.
