MissScarlett: Another model game by Harry Nelson Pillsbury.
Oct-11-19  gunnarandersson: 30....Qd8 31....Qf8?
Oct-11-19  Ulhumbrus: According to the chessbase annotator when White plays 18 f5 he intends to play the sacrifice Bxg6 following the captures Bxd3 and f5xg6. This suggests something useful to know about: After f5 the sacrifice Bxg6 counts as a potential threat.

MissScarlett: I don't know who collects such things, but mark this down as a <GOTY> contender.
Oct-11-19  Caissanist: I'm surprised that Anand would even participate in a swiss tournament at his age. These days his game is all about opening prep, he doesn't have the physical endurance anymore to squeeze out wins in tough endgames. But in this event he's not going to be able to prepare for an upcoming opponent and is going to run into a lot of players who know his games better than he knows theirs, which I suspect is what happened here.
Oct-11-19  fabelhaft: 28. ... Qf3+ followed by Qf4 draws.
Oct-23-19  Fanques Fair: Brilliant game .

FSR: Astonishing and brilliant game, not that I understand it. Make this GOTD already.
