Honza Cervenka: <Albanius: Is 8 g4!? a TN> No, it is not a novelty. See Grischuk vs Caruana, 2015
May-28-20  MordimerChess: This g4 move was widely discussed in many streams and commentaries. So I decided to make video analysis on the topic.

My youtube video:

Also one more information about final stage of the game from interview. Dubov thought that Karjakin is going to try to defend final position with Rf6 and play fortress with 2 pieces + pawns vs the queen... he resigned. Maybe he missed it. Not sure.

  ChemMac: Mordimerchess: if 30...Rf6, then I think that 31 Rh8 Kf7 32 Rc8 Nc8 33.Bf8 Kf6 34 Qc5 Kf7 35 Qc5 Nb6 36 a4! because Na4 loses the N. This is just in my head; not computer analysis. W will win a P and win easily. OK?
May-28-20  MordimerChess: <ChemMac> 33. Bxf6 Kxf6 34. Qb8 This is the position Dubov mentioned in interview - he thought Karjakin will try to defend it. I show it in my analysis but without comment as it came later :)
