Williebob: This game was featured on Chessbase.com, "Who played it first?" GM Kindermann is credited with being the first to try 6.Nd5!? in a serious game (this one). The gambit has been tried a few times recently in GM games; it seems good for rapid or blitz play, where gambits flourish.

<FSR>'s kibitz to the following game is worth a look if you are thinking of trying the Kindermann Gambit yourself:

Williebob: <Messiah>, you're welcome. My first game submission :)

According to Chessbase, "..some strong players, including Jorden van Foreest and Alexey Shirov, have recently made use of this idea in various online tournaments and achieved some success with it." Not bad!

  FSR: 14...O-O 15.f5 (15.Na4 d5 16.Nb6?? Bc5+) Qd8 16.fxe6 Bxe6 would have been far more sensible than Black's unsuccessful attempt at prophylaxis.
