Fusilli: I play the two knights with black, and I go for the popular 6...c6. I didn't know Bd7 even existed, but I see there are 117 games in this database with it.

To me, 12.Ba6 feels unnatural. In my experience with the black pieces, I would feel more uncomfortable if white played Ba4. In this game at least, the bishop on a6 became just an ornament.

The 6-second Stockfish analysis says Ba6 is much better than Ba4, but again, based on the themes I usually encounter playing this with black, I don't see why I would care about that bishop on a6.
