fredthebear: A fine sacrificial mating attack by Dr. Schiller that appears to be sound. Black can give up material to stop the mate, but promotion possibilities arise for White.

perfidious: As any moderately competent player will apprehend without difficulty, the final position is easily won for White--we do not need a wannabe 1200 player to lecture us on his possibilities.

fredthebear: You wouldn't be looking at this interesting game had I not brought it to our attention. What's more, why would anyone write anything for you editor because you are gonna bitch, bitch, bitch no matter what is written, stalker.

Piss off.

Nov-24-22  nok: This is not a sacrificial attack. More of a progressive buildup

fredthebear: perd can explain it all if'n ya don't mind fancy phraseology.

It's heartening to be your favorite chess poster on this website nok, as you have not commented on any other games this month but after mine. Keep following my posts nok and you might learn something about chess. Still, those book recommendations would speed up the process. Sorry, no autographs or memorabilia unless it's at FanFair Days.

Nov-24-22  stone free or die: The only sacrifice I see is in the finish.

And it's not a real sacrifice either, at least according to Spielmann - and he wrote the book!

perfidious: Even the table below the game score lacks a 'sac' entry in the lower left corner, which is worthy of note cos that feature is invoked for ideas which are mere transactions, matters of technique, often with a player executing, eg, a Rx (minor piece) which wins material outright, rather than being anything like a true sacrifice.
