Jun-01-25  joeld: Hodgson has a video that features this game. It's called Combat Chess #2 All-out Attack

fredthebear: Double exchange sacrifice tears open the center.
Jun-01-25  areknames: What a miniature! Relentless attacking from the outset, Hellers is blown out of the water.

perfidious: I'm here to tell you, the second kibitz was of coruscating brilliance and surpassing insight.

That said, Black must have wondered what the hellers was going on.

fredthebear: FTB factually discusses the game above as usual, but FTB is deliberately targeted anyway.

The lame editor perfidubious thinks he's a genius but provides us absolutely nothing. His personal attacks go on and on and on for years, decades, in complete violation of the CG guidelines. It's either useless cyberbully drivel just to run up pud's posting totals, and/or crass personal attacks on other members to feed Al's narcissism.

Hodgson vs F Hellers, 1994

So let's understand "When the Pawn..."

Stockfish preferred 6...cxd4 w/a threat of a second capture followed by the fundamentally sound developing move 7...Nc6.

Instead 6...exd4?! allows 7.d5 preventing ...Nc6. Black's queenside knight ends up rotting away on Na6.

Thus, the choice of center pawn capture on the sixth move had a significant impact on the outcome.

'Factually' to the extent that Hodgson sacrificed both exchanges, but the post was--as you have been known to state--'lazy and rather effortless' while managing to impart no insightful content.

We are all well aware of your struggles beyond spelling out mates in two, but to criticise anyone who has actually been there and done that merely points up your lack of chess education.

<....The lame editor perfidubious thinks he's a genius but provides us absolutely nothing....>

Got any grounds for this fatuous statement?

fredthebear: You got no game. Pull your panties up - you're embarrassing yourself still farther.

The world continues to see that FACTS (would you prefer that FTB post lies and insults like you ? ? ?) don't matter whatsoever for our habitual liar editor who is proud to be deceitful and untrustworthy.

More truth, ouch!
