Oct-20-06  Maria Nikolova: Her name is Iva Videnova and she's from Bulgaria!
Nov-13-06  dakgootje: something, i dont know what yet, tells me your also from Bulgaria. hmmm... yes.
Mar-28-07  Maria Nikolova: Yes, I am. :)

http://photo.chessdom.com/displayim... Iva V. placed 5th in the Bulgarian Ch.(w) 2011,scoring 7 out of 11 http://www.chess-results.com/tnr478...
Dec-26-11  waustad: She's playing in Reggio Emelia starting tomorrow.
Apr-25-12  waustad: She's now +5 -0 =0 in the Burgarian women's championship. Not a bad start. http://bulchamp2012.chessmix.com/li...
Oct-14-12  waustad: I noticed that she's played in France in the Condom Open 2008. Perhaps that is why they used to be called "French letters."
Dec-20-12  waustad: She's playing in the Zadar Open now.
The good news is that she beat the Croatian GM Bojan Kurajica (if he's in the database here, it's spelled differently I think) in the first round. The bad news is she went +1-4=0 for the next 5 rounds, losing more than the almost 12 elo she picked up in the first round. http://chess-results.com/tnr86543.a...

Apr-18-13  waustad: She butchered Darina Sirkova today in the Bulgarian championships (w). This game has so many pins! This link works right now: http://chessbg.com/live hopefully the games will be available for download sometime, but it might help is somebody who can read the site tries.
Apr-25-13  waustad: Congratulations on winning the Bulgarian Women's Championship!
Apr-26-13  waustad: I submitted the game against Darina Sirkova. If they post it, a good pun might be something like Pin Cushion, though that has probably been used before.
Jun-06-13  Eti fan: Today the olympic participant and national champion WGM Videnova plays simul with everyone at http://arena.chessdom.com
Mar-02-14  waustad: Mediterranean Flower Chess 2014 has just begun. http://www.chessdom.com/mediterrane...
Aug-03-14  whiteshark: WGM Iva Videnova (2315) is a Bulgarian WGM, born 1987, three-peat Bulgarian champion for women (2014, 2013, 2012). [this should be updated in her bio]

Iva has been a part of the Bulgarian Olympic team for many years, wining the bronze on second board at the European Team Chess Championship for women 2011 in Porto Carras, Greece when she had fulfilled her second IM norm.

She is a graduated chess trainer with Blachelor’s degree from the National Sports Academy in Sofia, a co-author of Chess Insider and a Challenger in the Chessdom Online Arena. Iva’s successful performances include winning the following open tournaments: Zadar-B Open 2013, Mediterranean Rapid Cup 2013, Thracian Princess 2013, Bansko Rapid Cup 2010.

Sep-25-14  waustad: Congratulations on achieving your final IM norm at Monastir. Now she needs to pick up some rating to get the title.
Sep-29-14  waustad: Her win over Judith Fuchs in the FBL is quite instructive. White sticks her queen on h6 which looks great for the attack, but it turns out that she winds up effectively a piece down in the center, where the action really happens. http://de.chessbase.com/post/auftak...
Nov-04-14  waustad: She has made a good start at the Durres International Open 2014, with 3/4 including a draw with Zdenko Kozul. She is getting close to the 2400 live rating that would clinch the IM title. According to her FIDE card she's at 2380 and chess-results has her gaining 12 pts so far.
Oct-22-17  waustad: There is a nice wedding pic on her new husband's page: Davorin Kuljasevic https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CltbtGB...
