Penguincw: Congrats to Irakli Beradze for performing well at the Nakhchivan Open 2015. Entering the tournament as the 49th seed, he started 0.5/2, but has since won 4 straight, including a white win over 8th seed Adhiban and black win over 14th seed Romanov. Being at 4.5/6, he is currently in an 8-way tie for 3rd place; he is the only titled player in the top 35 of the standings.

In Round 7, he'll face 10th seed Khalifman with white.

He's also making the best of his rating points, as his 2729 TPR (vs. 2310 rating) has helped him gain 62.8 points already.

Penguincw: And how would Irakli Beradze finish up? Well, he drew Khalifman, but lost back-to-back games against Guseinov and Bacrot to finish with 5/9 (+3,-2,=4) and in 19th place (remember, he is merely the 49th seed). Also worth noting, the average rating of his opponents was a whopping 2573, which is the highest out of <all> participants in the tournament.

He would gain a total of 65.4 points for his 2616 TPR.

< Being at 4.5/6, he is currently in an 8-way tie for 3rd place; he is the only titled player in the top 35 of the standings. >

What I meant to say was: he is the only <non-titled> player in the top 35 of the standings. He would end up as the only non-titled player finishing in the top 42, out of 66 players.
