alexrawlings: Jonathan Rowson mentions this guy in his book <The Seven Dealdly Chess Sins>. He is (or maybe was now) Britain's strongest blind chess player.
Oct-02-12  piroflip: I played Graham twice in my local league. He slaughtered me both times. He's a very nice guy too.

alexrawlings: I saw Graham play tonight in a club match for my local club (I was in his team, on a much lower board). It was fascinating watching him play with his braille board and tape recorder. According to my new club’s website he once beat Tony Miles GM. Shame they don’t have this game in the database... I wonder how strong he would be if he could see the board!

WannaBe: Was Graham born blind or lost it later? Now I am curious... As Ray Charles also played chess, blind and had a special board with special pieces.

woldsmandriffield: Played Graham at the York Open 1994 - terrific competitor and a really pleasant guy.
May-23-21  Nosnibor: None of his games are here from the 1996 British Championship where he won a very nice game against Graham Lee in round 3. After the game he received a round of applause from spectators.

That's terrible! Why is Chessgames so biased against him?

Oct-25-23  Stefan Lukke: Well <Nosnibor>, seems that rather nice game from 1996 against Lee is uploaded above
