<National> Jumabayev placed 3rd in the Kazakhstan championship 2007, 2nd in the Kazakhstan championship 2009. Kazakhstan Champion in 2014 and 2017.

<Continental and World> He qualified through the Asian Continental Championship 2011 for the World Cup (2011), but bowed out to French super-GM Laurent Fressinet in the first round. He qualified via Zone 3.4 for the World Cup (2015) and was eliminated when he lost his first round match to Pavel Eljanov.

Mar-09-19  sonia91: He defeated Karjakin, who blundered in the endgame, in the World Team Chess Championship (2019) today in round 5. Thanks to this victory Kazakhstan avoided a 0-4 defeat against Russia.
