Dec-29-16  waustad: I do remember students asking me about what a function called foo was supposed to do. They were confused by the notion that it was just a generic name for a function (it was in C, most likely, so even void functions were called "functions"). They just wanted to memorize something but the only way to get such questions right is to actually trace execution of the code.
