Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-17-13  Nightsurfer: Today, on <January 17th, 2013), that very day would have been the <86th birthday> of the unforgettable <Eartha Kitt> - just check out her biography at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eartha... - , and <Rainer Schnelle>, the German jazzman and chessplayer, has been a member of her band for some very important years way back in the 80's, since those have been the years of <Eartha Kitt> hitting the charts again after a long and painful interlude, namely after having become a <persona non grata> in the USA because <Eartha Kitt> had dared to speak out against the Vietnam War on the occasion of a luncheon in the White House in 1968 ... .

Thank you, dear <Eartha Kitt> up there in Heaven, for having made us dream with your great songs like <"Santa Baby"> - if you want to listen to that eternal tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJCd... - and for having made us dance to your songs like <"Where Is My Man">, herewith the clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atZS... !

And thank you, <Rainer Schnelle>, for having stood by <Eartha Kitt>'s side for quite a while!

Jan-17-13  Nightsurfer: The German daily <"neues deutschland"> has published an interview with <Rainer Schnelle> - herewith the link: http://www.neues-deutschland.de/art... - on <Rainer Schnelle>'s years with <Eartha Kitt>!
Jan-17-13  whiteshark: <Rainer> - check out the earthas on that!
Dec-21-13  Nightsurfer: Hello Rainer,
